At a New Year's celebration, Stephanie's friend Maggie stole her phone and created a Bumble profile for her (Stephanie's New Year's resolution was more work/life balance, she's still trying). Not long after, she stumbled upon a handsome cycling photo of Jacob. While chatting, he claimed to have a "Spreadsheets" hat, and she needed him to prove it to her so they met at Lloyd's for pizza.

They were so lost in their conversation that it took them an hour just to order food (Stephanie had a lot to say about her workday). Luckily, the waitress was really patient and didn't kick them out. After a great evening of conversation and (eventually) some pizza, Jacob walked Stephanie to her car, and will forever hear about how pissed she was that he did not give her a goodnight kiss.

After a few more dates, one night Stephanie sliced her finger open in the kitchen, mid meal-prep! Jacob was happy to come save the day by finishing her meal prep for her and helping dress her wound (he didn't do a very good job on the latter, but the food was ok). That's when Stephanie knew he was the one!
